Lindsey Cavin, LMFT

Neurodivergent Adult Therapy
Welcome to a space dedicated to your well-being, where transformation is not just possible but inevitable. I'm thrilled to join you on your journey as your guide and ally, offering a genuine, nonjudgmental approach that prioritizes authenticity and compassion. I'm here to help you navigate these turbulent times with compassion, insight, and unwavering support.

Many of the adults I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years wondering why life feels harder than it seems for others, despite doing everything they were “supposed” to do.

Your Journey to Personal Growth and Fulfillment
You may look like you’re managing life well on the outside while quietly carrying exhaustion, self-doubt, or a sense that things require more effort than they seem to for others. Many adults I work with have spent years adapting, masking, or pushing through challenges without fully understanding why certain patterns keep repeating or why burnout continues to return.

Therapy offers space to slow down and make sense of these experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we focus on understanding how your brain works, identifying patterns that no longer serve you, and developing practical strategies that support your energy, relationships, and emotional well-being in sustainable ways.

I believe meaningful change happens through collaboration, honesty, and self-understanding. Our work is not about fixing who you are, but about helping you build a life that feels more manageable, connected, and aligned with your values. Rather than simply coping, we work toward creating clarity, self-trust, and lasting change at a pace that feels supportive and realistic for you.
Areas of Focus

Neurodivergent-Affirming Care
As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I believe your brain is not something to fix but something to understand and support. Whether you are learning to navigate a neurotypical world, building self-acceptance, advocating for yourself, or simply wanting to feel seen and understood, therapy can be a space to explore what works for you. Wherever you are in your journey, from early awareness to ongoing self-discovery, you deserve support that respects who you truly are.

Identity Affirming
I offer a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space for LGBTQ+ individuals to explore their identities, relationships, and mental health. As a queer therapist, I deeply understand the complexities of LGBTQ+ experiences and provide compassionate, informed support to help you navigate challenges, embrace authenticity, and foster self-acceptance.

Substance Use & Addiction Support
Whether you are navigating your own relationship with substances or feeling the effects of a loved one’s use, therapy can provide a space to explore the complex emotions and patterns that often come with it. I offer nonjudgmental support to openly examine substance use, misuse, or addiction with empathy, curiosity, and practical guidance. Together, we work to understand underlying experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward clarity, connection, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
What to Expect
Start Where You Are
Tailored Approach
You don’t need the right words, a diagnosis, or a clear plan to begin therapy. We start with whatever you’re carrying right now and move forward together with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.
Together, we’ll identify what feels most important to you, whether that means feeling more grounded in daily life, managing sensory overwhelm, strengthening relationships, or working through deeper experiences. Through a solution-focused approach, we’ll create meaningful goals that grow and evolve alongside you.
Tools That Work For You
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches to provide flexible and practical tools. Sessions are guided by what is effective while staying aligned with what feels right for you.
A Space That Sees You
This is a space where you don’t have to shrink, filter yourself, or overexplain. You will be met with presence, care, and deep respect for who you are, because feeling truly seen is where meaningful healing begins.
Ready to take the next step?
Therapy doesn’t require certainty, a diagnosis, or having everything figured out. If something here felt familiar or resonated with your experience, that’s often enough to begin.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if working together feels like a good fit.
